Ljuljana capital of Slovenia
Slovenia, one of the republics of the former Yugoslavia, has been conducted in recent years major tourism promotion campaigns aimed at the dissemination of its many attractions, both natural and cultural.
Slovenia offers a beautiful alpine scenery, vast forests and ski resorts . At the same time possesses over its territory towns and villages retain a fascinating historical heritage and the arts.

Of all these cities, certainly highlights the state capital, Ljubljana. It is a pleasure to stroll through the old town and the vast majority is pedestrian. So while walking will find beautiful examples of Baroque architecture and modern city, all sheltered under the shadow of the imposing castle that rises in the highest part of the city.

The most interesting buildings in the capital are both a religious and civil. Thus, from among its churches worth mentioning the St. Nicholas Cathedral, whose facade is dominated by twin towers. And we must also include the Franciscan Church of the Assumption and Baroque church of San Pedro, one of the oldest in Ljubljana, since its origins date back to the thirteenth century, although today it is greatly transformed.
But if something gives a charm to the city is its architecture, articulated from the river channel Ljubljnica. To cross its banks are several bridges linking both banks , although two are the most famous of the resort: Triple Bridge part of the Preseren square, true epicenter of the city, and the Bridge of Dragons, built the first year twentieth century and is now the emblem of the residents of Ljubljana.
